When I was a kid growing up in the American Midwest, Saturday mornings were full of sugar-coated cereal and hours of cartoons on the TV. I want to create some fun and imagination for the kids of today, so I’m starting up some weekly drawing sessions online where kids can draw along with me, make their own unique character along with learning some tricks of the trade.

A person is drawing a cartoon character of a zombie skateboarder with a skateboard and an umbrella, on a piece of white paper on a wooden table. The character has a large head, wide eyes, and a tattered outfit with a skull symbol on the shirt.

In all of my workshops and school visits, I talk about and show how to create fun and funny characters starting with simple shapes and then how to tell a story around the character by adding details and expressions.

I love encouraging creativity and humour with art while sharing drawing techniques with children in hopes to inspire them to draw and create.
